WOW! It's been a while...

I know! I've been a slacker when it comes to updating our blog. We had such a busy summer with all three kids birthdays, football and cheer...there's lots to catch up on!! Hopefully I won't wait so long to post next time...So here's some of what we have been up to...

Colin's 2nd Birthday!

The morning of Colin' s party Lucas was just getting home from work. We were all standing out in the front yard, Colin ran over to his truck to greet him, got distracted and grabbed the hot exhaust pipe and burnt his whole hand. He healed up fine, but had to wear a bandage for a few days. Poor baby!

We had his party at Rancho Sahuarita Safari Park. The kids loved running around and "riding" the bronze animals. It was a fun party! Colin is so lucky to have so many friends and family that love him!

49er's Football and Cheer!

Ryan's first year in tackle football has come to an end...he was on a GREAT team, they were undefeated the whole time, made the playoffs, and then lost!! :( Nobody saw it coming, we were all so sad. But they played hard and Ryan learned so much! I can't wait to watch him play next year!

Haley's Cheer Competition!

Haley's cheer squad competed in the City Championships at the TCC this last weekend. There was 15 groups of her same age group and her squad placed 3rd!!! They did so good!

They get judged on alot...not just on the routine, but from their uniforms, to their hair, to crowd participation. They all loved having their hair pieces in! :)

At the bottom, you can see the table of all the judges lined up. There was about 15-20 judges!!

...At the end of the day her coach gave Haley the "spirit stick" which is given out at the end of every game to who ever gave it her all...Haley was the one to get it at competition. I was so proud of her!

A look at January...

Isn't January the month to recover after the holidays?? (ha, ha) It seems this year was everything but that...we had birthday parties, school activities, tons of Dr. appointment's (Colin's ever lasting sickness), friend get togethers, play-dates every week, and family in from out of town...We blinked and January was gone! But with three kids, there's no way around it and I wouldn't want it any other way...I just have to keep reminding myself to take alot of pictures, so we can look back one day and enjoy the memories! :)

Ryan got his first real BB gun for Christmas this year...(he was so excited) he couldn't wait to go sight it in with Dad...

...So we took him down to Ox Frame and let him practice...

(There's so many awesome places to drive to in the mountains behind our house, but this particular place has a big cow pond, and it's really beautiful! It's one of our favorites!)

We also had some really sad news this month...Lucas's Grandpa Jim passed away at the age of 87 (Lucas's mom's father). Lucas was very close to him his whole life. There was a beautiful ceremony for him on the ranch, so alot of family that live out of town that we hardly get to see, flew in for it ...it was great to reconnect with them...This is a picture of most of the girl cousins and sister-in laws on the Bell side of the family.
